It comes as no great surprise that the European Union has separated or de-coupled Macedonia from Albania for the application process for EU entry. It was bizarre in the first place to group them together. Bulgaria is a EU member and used its veto to block Macedonia. France, an EU powerbroker, has backed Bulgaria to the hilt.
The previous Macedonia government, installed by the US in a soft coup in 2017, agreed to Bulgaria’s demand also known as the “French proposal” in 2022.
But be that as it may, Macedonia must accept Bulgaria’s demand, tantamount to blackmail, extortion, which is to include a Bulgarian minority, very tiny in number, in Macedonia’s constitution even though ethnic monitories in Macedonia are already protected by existing legislation. Bulgaria’s objective is about undermining the country from within by using lawfare, hence the constitutional demands being made upon Macedonia.
It’s clever and sinister. Even if Macedonia were to accept Bulgaria’s demands, more and more demands will be made. They will not stop. It’s a zero-sum game for Macedonia. Bulgaria’s objective, with EU and US blessing, is to eventually partition the country between a Greater Albania entity and obviously Bulgaria.

It’s only matter of time before GSD surrenders to EU/French/US demand for Macedonia to accept Bulgar blackmail for EU entry.
The whole playacting – during the election campaign – of standing up to EU/US/Bulgar bullying is just that – playacting by GSD and by the new Prime Minister Hristjan Mickovski.
You’ve all seen and heard the US Ambassador to Macedonia order Macedonia’s leaders to use the US imposed “North” prefix upon Macedonia’s name on behalf of Greek interests, which only confirms where real power resides in Macedonia.
A US Presidential Executive Order even “criminalises” Macedonianess. One can easily be placed on a “blacklist” for not using the “North” prefix and for refusing to accept a censored Macedonian history in keeping with US diktats – on behalf of US allies Greece and Bulgaria.
US STRATEGIC INTERESTS – Greece and Bulgaria are more important to Washington and can name their price.
There are four US/NATO bases in Bulgaria plus the Bulgar ports on the Black Sea. These are pieces of very valuable strategic real estate in the now Cold War II that has emerged between US & Russia.
The war in Ukraine has been a huge lottery win for Bulgaria, one of the poorest and most corrupt of EU member states. A massive win at the diplomatic poker table with four aces landing in the hands of Bulgaria.
It’s only a matter of time before Bulgaria takes full control of education system and the teaching of Macedonian history, as well as Macedonian identity – what’s left of it after the Prespa Agreement and name change.
US & NATO use a large naval base on the Greek island of Crete to “police” the Mediterranean Sea.
All of this will lead to the eventual partition – supervised by the EU and US – of Macedonia between a Greater Albanian entity and Bulgaria. It’s no coincidence the US Embassy in Macedonia refuses to condemn right wing Albanian Neo Nazi extremism in Macedonia, which pushes for partition of the country.
US refuses to condemn the WWII Albanian Nazi collaborator statues that have been built in the country post 2006 by Albanian extremists in Macedonia, such as Ali Ahmeti and his DUI party who just so happen to be pro US.
Not one word of condemnation of Ahmeti and crew by US State Department over the glorification of Albanian nationalist figures who during WWII worked for Nazi Germany in occupied Macedonia; who were complicit in the Holocaust of neighbouring Kosovo Jews, the murder of Macedonian and Albanian anti fascist partisans and civilians.
